Helping Hands Noramise - Limbé Project
This is a multi-tiered project, which will provide jobs, education, and community resources, while making use of local labor and goods. The goal is to create a micro-development model that multiple communities in the Limbé region, in the north of Haiti, will be able to use in their towns in order to build interdependent and sustainable local industries. In this way, each town will meet a need for the entire region, plus increase overall food production and create jobs. Open to volunteers: YES Contact: Rosedanie Cadet,

Domes for Haiti
This is a grass roots disaster relief project out of New York City that addresses the immediate need for hurricane and earthquake resistant transitional shelter in Haiti. The project will supply 10 pre-fabricated portable geodesic domes to Haiti in time for Hurricane season. The domes are 17' in diameter and 8.5' high at the center. Each dome can house from 10 to 20 kids. If this pilot project is successful, the plan is to seek funding to produce this project on a larger scale using local renewable resources.
